Vision
To decrease the immediate need of a lack of nutritious food and hunger in the communities we serve, while building a path to self-sufficiency via workforce training to allow for a healthy and active lifestyle.
Mission
To serve with care weekly free bags of food, gather data from participants to connect the community, and offer the opportunity to enroll in workforce development training to achieve self-sufficiency.
“The USDA defines “food insecurity” as the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways. Food insecurity is an unacceptable situation where individuals or households do not have the resources to provide nutritious food to allow for a healthy and active lifestyle.”
